Carl Frederik Peder Aagaard (29 January 1833 – 2 November 1895) was a Danish landscape painter and decorative artist. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and under P. C. Skovgaard. Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen (born 11 January 1964) is a Norwegian contemporary composer. Life Aagaard-Nilsen was born in Oslo and grew up in Kabelvåg on Lofoten in northern Norway. From 1986 to 1990, he studied at the Bergen Conservatory of Music (now known as the Grieg Academy) and at the University of Bergen. From 1990 to 1994, he worked at the Bergen Conservatory as a teacher of contemporary classical music. Furthermore, he was leader of the ''Autunnale-festivalen - (Music Factory and Autunnale)'', also in Bergen. In 1992 and 1993, he arranged and composed for the ''Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps Vestlandet - Norwegian Army Band, Bergen (NABB)'', writing, among other works, ''Arctic Landscape''. Aagaard Glacier (), also known as Glaciar Alderete, is an long Antarctic glacier which lies close to the east of Gould Glacier and flows in a southerly direction into Mill Inlet, on the east coast of Graham Land. Glenwood, Washington County, Oregon
Glenwood is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Oregon, United States, northwest of Forest Grove on Oregon Route 6. The name Glenwood was first used for this locale around 1880. The post office was established in 1886 as "Glenwood", although it was not always in the same location. In the 1920s, the Gales Creek and Wilson River Railroad had a terminal station nearby named "Aagaard" (or "Aagard") after Olaf B. Aagaard, owner of the Aagaard Lumber Company. The Gales Creek Logging Company also operated a site at or near this original mill. The name of the station was soon changed to Glenwood to match the post office. Multiple lumber companies operated in this area and one of these operations is thought to have been a possible cause of the start of the first Tillamook Burn fires. Bjarne Aagaard Strøm
Bjarne Aagaard Strøm (29 May 1920 – 3 January 2008) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Liberal Party. He hailed from Kristiansand. After World War II reached Norway in 1940 with the German invasion and subsequent occupation, Strøm joined the Norwegian resistance movement at the age of 22. Already in August 1942 he was arrested by the Nazi authorities for his connection to Milorg, and was imprisoned at Kristiansand prison and Arkivet. From 5 October 1942 to 30 April 1943 he was incarcerated at Grini concentration camp. He was sentenced to death by a German court in 1943, but Josef Terboven was pressured and personally changed the sentence to lifelong forced labour. Strøm was shipped to a concentration camp in Germany, but survived the stay and returned to Norway after Germany's loss in the war. Ole Rømer Aagaard Sandberg (21 July 1900 – 26 August 1985) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Centre Party. He chaired the Norwegian Agrarian Association from 1951 to 1955 and was a member of Parliament from 1957 to 1965. Ole Rømer Aagaard Sandberg (21 June 1888 – 4 January 1975) was a Norwegian military officer and farmer. He was born in Kristiania as a son of Colonel Christian Juell Sandberg (1858–1944) and Inga Giertsen (1861–1936). He was a paternal grandson of Ole Rømer Sandberg, and thus a great-grandson of priest Christian Juell Sandberg, great-grandnephew of Ole Rømer Aagaard Sandberg (1811–1883), nephew of Ole Rømer Aagaard Sandberg (1865–1925) and first cousin of Ole Rømer Aagaard Sandberg (1900–1985). He finished his secondary education in 1906 and graduated from the Norwegian Military Academy in 1909 and the Norwegian Military College in 1911. Andreas Aagaard Kiønig
Andreas Aagaard Kiønig (8 August 1771 – 1 March 1856) was a Norwegian lawyer and judge. He served as a representative at the Norwegian Constitutional Assembly. Andreas Aagaard Kiønig was born on Opaker Gård in the parish of Grue in Hedmark county, Norway. He graduated as cand.jur. in 1790. He then became a jurist in Denmark–Norway. He was elected to the Norwegian Constituent Assembly in 1814, representing the constituency of Hedemarkens Amt. He supported the independence party (''Selvstendighetspartiet''). At that time he worked as a district stipendiary magistrate (''sorenskriver'') in the traditional district of Østerdalen. He was then appointed Supreme Court Assessor the same year.
