Ravana (Sanskrit: रावण, romanized: Rāvaṇa, lit.'roaring') is the principal antagonist of the ancient Hindu epicRamayana and its several other versions. He is traditionally depicted as a ten-headed rakshasa (demon) king of Lanka.
