Pliopithecus

Pliopithecus (meaning "more ape") is a genus of extinctprimates of the Miocene. It was discovered in 1837 by Édouard Lartet (1801–1871) in France, with fossils subsequently discovered in Switzerland, Slovakia and Spain.
