Moskstraumen or Moskenstraumen, also known as the Lofoten maelstrom, is a system of tidaleddies and whirlpools, one of the strongest in the world, that forms at the Lofotenarchipelago in Nordland county, Norway between the Norwegian Sea and the Vestfjorden.
