A conidium ( ; pl.: conidia), sometimes termed an asexual chlamydospore or chlamydoconidium (pl.: chlamydoconidia), is an asexual, non-motilespore of a fungus. The word conidium comes from the Ancient Greek word for dust, (kónis).
