Ypsonas

Ypsonas or Ipsonas (Greek: Ύψωνας, romanized: Ypsōnas, Turkish: İpsona), is a municipal district of the Kourion Municipality in the Limassol District of Cyprus. Until the 2024 local government reform, it was a municipality in its own right. It is one of the largest settlements in western Limassol District and is located about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Limassol. The southern part of the municipal district lies within the Sovereign Base Area of Akrotiri, part of the Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia. According to the 2021 census, Ypsonas had a population of 13,966.
