Trypsin-3 (also called Mesotrypsin or Serine protease 3) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PRSS3 gene. Like other trypsins, trypsin-3 is a digestive enzyme which is secreted in an inactive form as part of pancreatic juice. Trypsin-3 is distinctive in its resistance to common trypsin inhibitors and expression in the brain in addition to the pancreas.
