Qonayev

Qonaev (Kazakh: Қонаев), also known as Konayev (Russian: Конаев) and by other names, is a city in southeastern Kazakhstan. It is the seat of government for the Almaty Region. The population was 39,855 (2009 census results) and 33,428 (1999 census results).
