MadWorld is a 2009 beat 'em uphack and slashvideo game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Sega for the Wii. It was the first game to be developed by PlatinumGames after its formation two years prior. Although a commercial failure, the game received generally positive reviews from critics. A spiritual successor, Anarchy Reigns, was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012.
