Geography
Eluanbi is the southernmost point of the Hengchun Peninsula, making it the southernmost point on Formosa or Taiwan Island. The area's geologic formation is known as the Eluanbi Beds (層, céng), a Pleistocenestratum of yellow and brown sand, gravel, and clay. The nearby highlands are considered an extension of Taiwan's Central Mountain Range.
