Ecology
While all extant crocodilians are carnivorous, the ecological roles of Mesozoic crocodyliforms were more diverse, and included omnivory and herbivory. Herbivorous forms were present from the early Jurassic to the late Cretaceous and are thought to have evolved at least three times.
