Chrast

Chrast (Czech pronunciation:) is a town in Chrudim District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,200 inhabitants. The town is located on the Žejbro Stream in the Svitavy Uplands.
Chrast was founded in the second half of the 13th century and became a town in 1853. The historic centre with the castle complex is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
