Chariots

Extracted from the Wikipedia article Chariot.
Origins
Chariots emerged in the early 2nd millennium BC following earlier developments in wheeled transport and domestication of the horse. The earliest fully developed spoke-wheeled horse chariots are from the chariot burials of the Andronovo (Timber-Grave) sites of the Sintashta-PetrovkaProto-Indo-Iranian culture in modern Russia and Kazakhstan from around 2000 BC. However, Littauer and Crouwel (1996) and Raulwing and Burmeister (2012) disagree that the Sintashta culture vehicle finds are true chariots, but rather classed as carts.
