Geographical distribution


In Western Uttar Pradesh it is spoken in the southern part of western Uttar Pradesh. Braj-speaking districts include Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Aligarh, Firozabad, Mainpuri and many parts of Etah, Budaun, Bareilly, Sambhal, Gautam Buddh Nagar (areas of Jewar and Greater Noida), Bulandshahr (areas of Khurja, Shikarpur, Dibai and Aurangabad). Some communities still speak Brajbhasha even near the southern part of Ghaziabad.
