Acherontemys

Acherontemys is an extinct genus of turtle from Eocene sediments in northwestern North America and comprising a single speciesAcherontemys heckmani. Acherontemys has been placed within the pond turtle superfamily Testudinoidea as part of the clade Pan-Emydidae.
