The suppressive effects of sufugolix on gonadotropin and sex hormone levels are rapidly reversible with discontinuation. Unlike various other GnRHR antagonists, sufugolix has been elucidated to be a non-competitive or insurmountable/trapping antagonist of the GnRHR rather than a competitive antagonist.
