Jeanne Robert Foster
Jeanne Robert Foster (née, Julia Elizabeth Oliver; March 10, 1879 – September 22, 1970) was an American occultist, Theosophist, and poet from the Adirondack Mountains. A disciple of Aleister Crowley, she was also known by the magical name Sister Hilarion. Foster's friends included many of the period's leading authors and artists. Charles Robert Stansfeld Jones ( ; 1886–1950), aka Frater Achad, was a Canadian occultist and ceremonial magician. Babalon (also known as the Scarlet Woman, Great Mother or Mother of Abominations) is a goddess found in the occult system of Thelema, which was established in 1904 with the writing of ''The Book of the Law'' by English author and occultist Aleister Crowley. Leah Hirsig (April 9, 1883 – February 22, 1975) was an American schoolteacher and occultist, notable for her magical record diary, ''The Magical Record of the Scarlet Woman'', which describes her experiences and visions as an associate, friend, and victim of occult writer Aleister Crowley. Lady Frieda Harris
Marguerite Frieda, Lady Harris ( Bloxam, 13 August 1877 – 11 May 1962), referred to, by her own insistence, as Lady Frieda Harris, was an English artist and, in later life, an associate of the occultist Aleister Crowley. She is best known for her design of Crowley's Thoth Tarot. Family Frieda Bloxam was a daughter of surgeon John Astley Bloxam, F.R.C.S. (1843–1926) and Jessie Findlay Bloxam (1851–1926). She married Percy Harris in April 1901. Percy Harris served as a Liberal Party MP 1916–1918 and 1922–1945, and was Chief Whip for his party. Kenneth Grant (occultist)
Kenneth Grant (23 May 1924 – 15 January 2011) was an English ceremonial magician, novelist, and advocate of the Thelemic religion. A poet, novelist, and writer, he founded his own Thelemic organisation, the Typhonian Ordo Templi Orientis, later renamed the Typhonian Order—with his wife Steffi Grant. Born in Ilford, Essex, Grant developed an interest in occultism and Eastern religions during his teenage years. After service with the British Army during the Second World War, he returned to Britain and became the personal secretary of Aleister Crowley, the ceremonial magician who had founded Thelema in 1904.
