History

Joskeleigh Provisional School opened on 28 October 1913 in a church building, pending the erection of a school building, under head teacher Frederick Vespermann. There was an average of 21 students in 1913. In 1915, a tender was accepted for the construction of an "open-air school" (a simple structure with canvas walls). In 1918, it became Joskeleigh State School. It closed on 29 April 1985 due to falling enrolments. It was at 356 Joskeleigh Road (). Sandhills Post Office opened on 24 December 1923 (a
