David Frank Crisafulli (; born 14 April 1979) is an Australian politician currently serving as the 41st Premier of Queensland since 28 October 2024 and leader of the Liberal National Party (LNP) since 12 November 2020. He has been the member of the Legislative Assembly for Broadwater since 2017 when he ousted the sitting member, Verity Barton, during pre-selection. He was the member for Mundingburra from 2012 to 2015, holding ministerial portfolios in the Newman government. Crisafulli led the LNP into the 2024 Queensland state election. The Moreton Bay Penal Settlement operated from 1825 to 1842. It became the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. History The Moreton Bay Penal Settlement was established on the Redcliffe Peninsula on Moreton Bay in September 1824, under the instructions of John Oxley that a suitable location would be "easy of access, difficult to escape from, and hard to attack; furthermore, it should be near fresh water and contain three hundred acres for cultivation".
