Early life and career

Lindstrom grew up listening to her parents' record collection. Her father was a drummer, and she grew up hearing jazz, soul, Brazilian music, and Swedish folk music. At two years old she started piano lessons and played piano and organ through her teens. But she turned to singing in college, singing worldess accompaniment in a quartet. While still in college, she recorded her first album, ''Another Country''. In 1995 she graduated from the
