Bobô was leading goalscorer of Beşiktaş in the 2006–07 season, with 20 goals in all competitions. Despite returning after the start of the season, Bobo amassed 12 goals in 23 appearances in the 2020-21 A-League season, and was the golden boot winner for the club during the season. He signed a 1-year extension with the club for the next season. On 2 May 2022, Bobô announced that he would be retiring from football at the end of the 2021–22 season.
