The losing record would still be good enough to win the Central Division. In the playoffs, the Bullets would face Monroe and the New York Knicks and be beaten by the Knicks in six games. Notably, the team had rebranded their uniforms in the offseason that saw a curving line (blue-orange-blue for the white jersey, white-blue-white for the orange jersey) with a number on the player's right shoulder while the "Bullets" wordmark was placed on the shorts.
