. The new town of ÅŒsakikamijima was formed on 1 April 2003, with the merger of the towns of ÅŒsaki, Higashino and Kinoe, all from Toyota District. As of 31 March 2024, the town of ÅŒsakikamijima had an estimated population of 6,744 and a density of 160 persons per km2. The total area is 43.24 km2.
