Échirolles
Échirolles (; frp, Ècherôles) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. Part of the Grenoble urban unit (agglomeration),Unité urbaine 2020 de Grenoble (38701)
INSEE it is the second-largest suburb of the city of , which is immediately to its north.


History

A former industrial village had the majority of its inhabitants work in the factories, a fabric that was invented in Échirolles in 1884 by the French scientist and industrial

David Di Tommaso
David di Elias Alemu Tommaso (6 October 1979 – 29 November 2005) was a French professional footballer who played as a central defender. Early life Di Tommaso was born in Échirolles, Isère. His father Pascal Di Tommaso and uncle Louis Di Tommaso both played in Ligue 2 for Grenoble Foot 38 in the 1980s. His younger brother Yohan Di Tommaso is also a professional footballer. Career Monaco Di Tommaso was promoted to the first team of Monaco during the 1998–99 season. Calogero Joseph Salvatore Maurici (born 30 July 1971), better known as Calogero (; ), is a French singer. Vincent Clerc
Vincent Clerc (born 7 May 1981) is a former French rugby union player who played on the wing. Birth and early career Born in the city of Échirolles, suburb of the south of Grenoble (Isère), Clerc first played rugby at FC Grenoble, helping them reach the Top 16 before moving to Toulouse in 2002, where he has played ever since. Clerc earned his first cap for France on November 9, 2002 against South Africa. Whilst at Toulouse Clerc won the Heineken Cup three times in 2003, 2005 and 2010.
