The Offspring
The Offspring is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Garden Grove, California, in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland, Bryan "Dexter" Holland, lead guitarist Noodles (musician), Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, bassist Todd Morse, multi-instrumentalist Jonah Nimoy, and drummer Brandon Pertzborn. The Offspring is often credited (alongside fellow Punk rock in California, California punk bands Green Day, NOFX, Bad Religion, Rancid (band), Rancid, and Pennywise (band), Pennywise) for reviving mainstream interest in punk rock during the mid-1990s. During their -year career, the Offspring has released eleven studio albums and sold more than 40 million records, making them one of the best-selling punk rock bands. Brandon Pertzborn
Brandon Pertzborn (born October 17, 1994) is an American musician who is the current drummer for the punk rock band the Offspring and former drummer for Marilyn Manson (band), Marilyn Manson, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag (band), Black Flag and Doyle (band), Doyle. He has also toured with Corey Taylor, Limp Bizkit and Ho99o9. Early life Pertzborn was born in Grapevine, Texas where he started playing the drums at the age of 14. He took his first drumming lessons at school, but soon dropped out to learn on his own. Within a few years he joined several bands with friends. After playing the drums for a few years, Pertzborn began teaching drums at multiple music schools in the area. Time Bomb Recordings
Time Bomb Recordings was a Laguna Beach, California-based independent record label, founded in 1995 by artist manager Jim Guerinot in a joint-venture agreement with Arista Records. In the following five years, the artist roster grew to encompass a variety of musical genres (punk, indie, rockabilly); generally falling under the label "alternative rock". When the Arista agreement expired in 2000, Time Bomb signed with BMG Distribution. The label has also existed mostly to administer its back catalog and is currently distributed by RED Distribution (whose parent, Sony Music Entertainment, absorbed BMG). Time Bomb continued to release new albums in physical form until 2007, with the release of Social Distortion's ''Greatest Hits'' compilation album. Rancid is an American punk rock band formed in Berkeley, California, in 1991. Founded by Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, former members of the band Operation Ivy, Rancid is often credited (alongside Green Day and the Offspring) as being among the wave of bands that revived mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid-1990s. Over its -year career, Rancid has retained much of its original fan-base, most of which was connected to its underground musical roots. NOFX
NOFX () was an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Bassist/lead vocalist Fat Mike, rhythm guitarist Eric Melvin and drummer Erik Sandin were original founding and longest-serving members of the band, who have appeared on every release by the band, although Sandin departed briefly in 1985, only to rejoin the following year. El Hefe joined the band in 1991 to play lead guitar and trumpet, rounding out the best-known iteration of the lineup. NOFX's mainstream success coincided with increased interest in punk rock during the 1990s; unlike many of their contemporaries, however, they had never been signed to a major label. Pete Parada
Peter Parada (born July 9, 1973) is an American drummer who has been a member of several bands. Parada's drumming career began in 1995 when he joined L.A. band World In Pain on a recommendation from future Korn drummer Ray Luzier and then Steel Prophet in 1996 with whom he recorded one album a year later. Subsequently he joined Face to Face, Saves the Day and the Offspring, where he was a member from 2007 to 2021 and served as the band's second longest-serving drummer, behind Ron Welty. Parada was also associated with the metal band Engine and Rob Halford's solo project Halford, and briefly played drums in the punk band Alkaline Trio. Atom Willard
Adam David "Atom" Willard (August 15, 1973) is an American drummer who has been a member of several notable musical acts. His career began in 1990 when he joined Rocket from the Crypt, with whom he remained until 2000. Subsequently, he joined the Special Goodness, the Offspring, and in 2005 became a founding member of Angels & Airwaves. In 2007 Willard departed from the Offspring to focus on his work with Angels & Airwaves, and in April 2009 he also joined Social Distortion, but left the following March. Ron Welty
Ronald Stephen Welty (born February 1, 1971) is an American musician and the former drummer for the punk rock band the Offspring, where he was a member from 1987 to 2003 and served as the band's longest-serving drummer. After the Offspring, Welty formed Steady Ground. Career Born and raised in Orange County, California, Welty started playing drums in eighth grade and cited Neil Peart and Lars Ulrich as early influences. James Lilja
James Frederick Lilja (born May 7, 1966) is an American gynecologic oncologist and a musician. He was the original drummer of the punk rock band the Offspring, performing with the band between 1984 and 1987. Collegiate education and The Offspring Lilja attended the University of California, Los Angeles between 1984 and 1988, from which he graduated with a B.S. degree in Microbiology. In 1984, Lilja joined the group Manic Subsidal, which eventually changed its name to The Offspring in 1986. Lilja played on the group's first demo tape in 1986, which earned them early exposure through a positive review in ''Maximumrocknroll'' magazine.
