The diathesis-stress model, also known as the vulnerability–stress model, is a Psychology, psychological theory that attempts to explain a disorder, or its trajectory, as the result of an interaction between a Diathesis (medicine), predispositional vulnerability, the diathesis, and stress caused by life experiences. A mast cell (also known as a mastocyte or a labrocyte) is a resident cell of connective tissue that contains many granules rich in histamine and heparin.
