Spectre (song)
"Spectre" is a song by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 25 December 2015. It was produced by Nigel Godrich, and written for the 2015 James Bond film ''Spectre'', but went unused. Radiohead initially submitted another song for the film, " Man of War", written in the 1990s. It was rejected by the producers as it had not been written for the film and was therefore ineligible for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Radiohead suspended work on their ninth album, ''A Moon Shaped Pool'' (2016), to record another song, "Spectre", an orchestral ballad; however, the producers said it arrived too late, and that they could not use it in the film. They instead used " Writing's on the Wall" by Sam Smith as the opening song. Radiohead released "Spectre" as a free download, their first release since 2011. ''Spectres'' is the fifth studio album by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, released in November 1977. The album features one of the band's biggest hits, concert staple "Godzilla," and was certified gold in January 1978. Silk Spectre is the name of two fictional superheroines in the graphic novel limited series ''Watchmen'', published by DC Comics. Created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, the original Silk Spectre, Sally "Jupiter" Juspeczyk, was a member of the crimefighting team the Minutemen, while the second, Sally's daughter Laurel "Laurie" Jane Juspeczyk, became a member of the vigilante team Crimebusters, also known as the titular Watchmen. The Spectre is the name given to several fictional antiheroes who have appeared in numerous comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in ''More Fun Comics'' #52 (February 1940). He was created by Jerry Siegel and Bernard Baily, although several sources attribute creator credit solely to Siegel, limiting Baily to being merely the artist assigned to the feature. ''The Mystery of Time'' is the sixth full-length album by German Tobias Sammet's rock opera project Avantasia. The album was released on 26 April 2013. This is the first Avantasia release to feature the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg (the same orchestra that performed on Edguy's album ''Hellfire Club''). The cover artwork was painted by Rodney Matthews. Christian Death
Christian Death is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles County, California, in 1979 by Rozz Williams. With major line-up changes over the years, Christian Death has retained "a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality". Williams was eventually joined by guitarist Rikk Agnew of the band Adolescents, James McGearty on bass guitar and George Belanger on drums. This line-up was responsible for producing the band's best known work, their 1982 debut album ''Only Theatre of Pain'', which was highly influential in the development of the style of music known as deathrock, as well as on the American gothic scene which also produced bands such as Kommunity FK and 45 Grave.
