Téir Abhaile Riú
''Téir Abhaile Riú'', also known as ''Teidhir abhaile Riú'', Teigh abhaile Riú or even just simply Teir abhaile, is an Irish folk song. A young woman, or girl, is told to return home as her match has been made. The lyrics for the song vary. In most versions, the woman, or girl, debates with someone about whether or not the match is made. In some versions she is told to marry the piper. The version written for Celtic Woman contains mostly English words and adds information about her reputation, as compared to other popular versions. The song may have been composed in the 18th century, but surely by the 19th. Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish musical ensemble, formed in 2004 for a one-time event held in Dublin, Ireland. They started touring internationally as a group after multiple airings on PBS helped to boost the group's popularity. Clannad () were an Irish band formed in 1970 in Gweedore, County Donegal, by siblings , and (Moya) (in English, Brennan) and their twin uncles Noel and (Duggan). They have adopted various musical styles throughout their history. Cruachan (; named after the archaeological site of Rathcroghan, also known as Cruachan) are an Irish folk metal band from Dublin that have been active since the 1990s. They are recognised as one of the founders of folk metal, and have been acclaimed as having "gone the greatest lengths of anyone in their attempts to expand" the genre. With a specific focus on Celtic music and the use of Celtic mythology in their lyrics, Cruachan's style of folk metal is called Celtic metal.
