Zhao Lirong
Zhao Lirong (March 11, 1928 – July 17, 2000) was a Chinese singer and film actress. Biography Before she became involved in the film industry, Zhao Lirong was a famous Pingju supporting actress on the stage. From the 1980s, Zhao started her comedy performances in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. In 1990, she received the award for Best Actress at the Tokyo International Film Festival and Hundred Flowers Awards for her first leading role in ''The Spring Festival''.Opera: Zhao Lirong
. China Culture. 10 August 2008. After this, Zhao continued her comedy career with CCTV. On July 17, 2000, Zhao Lirong died from cancer. As one of China's most beloved comedy actresses, thousands attended her funeral.

Zhao (surname)
Zhao (; ) is a Chinese-language surname, means “walk quickly” and “jump” in ancient Chinese, and is the 1st surname in the famous Hundred Family Surnames – the traditional list of all Chinese surnames – because it was the emperor's surname of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) when the list was compiled. The first line of the poem is in the line 趙錢孫李 (Zhao, Qian, Sun, Li). Zhao is now ranking as the 7th most common surname in China and carried mainly by people of Mandarin-speaking regions.
