Zülfia Süleimenova
Zülfia Bolatqyzy Süleimenova (; born 25 February 1990) is a Kazakh politician who served as a Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources (Kazakhstan), Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources from 4 January 2023 to 1 September 2023, making her one of Kazakhstan's youngest ministers to serve in the government. She also previously served as a deputy of the Mäjilis of the 7th Parliament of Kazakhstan, 7th convocation from 2021 to 2022. Biography Süleimenova was born on 25 February 1990 in the city of Aktobe. She graduated from the bachelor's and master's programs of the L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University with a degree in International Relations and received a PhD degree from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies under the program "Security and International Studies". Erlan Tynymbaiuly Qarin (; born on 26 May 1976 in Aksukent, Sayram District) is a Kazakh politician who is the current State Counsellor of Kazakhstan. He was born on May 26, 1976, in the village of Aksukent, and comes from the Adai clan of the Bayuly. In 1997, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Aktobe State University and in 1999 from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. From 1996-1998, he worked as a teacher of history and geography at a secondary school in Aktobe. Jambyl or Zhambyl Region (; ), formerly known as Dzhambul Region () until 1991, is a region of Kazakhstan. Its administrative center is Taraz. The population of the region is 1,209,665; the city is 335,100. The region borders Kyrgyzstan, and is very near to Uzbekistan (all to the south). Aral Sea
The Aral Sea () was an endorheic lake lying between Kazakhstan to its north and Uzbekistan to its south, which began shrinking in the 1960s and had largely dried up into desert by the 2010s. 2023 Kazakhstan Wildfires
In June 2023, large forest fires broke out in the northeastern regions of Kazakhstan experienced its greatest annual death toll. While putting out the fires, at least 15 people died.
