Zvane (Ivan) Črnja (October 8, 1920 – February 26, 1991) was a prominent Croatian poet, prose writer, essayist, culturologist, screenwriter, playwright and filmologist, journalist, publicist, polemicist and publisher. He's considered one of the most important names that Istria gave to Croatia in the 20th century. His aliases include: ''Osip Suri'', ''Barba Zvane'', and ''Filus''. Biography Born in the village of Črnjeni, he attended and finished Italian primary school in Žminj. Fleeing fascism, in 1931 he crossed the then Yugoslav-Italian border on the Rječina with his family. He continued his education in Sušak, first at the secondary civic academy and then at the trade academy. His first poetic and prose works appeared in 1938 in Zagreb's ''Istra'' and Sušak's ''Primorje''. He was active in the anti-fascist movement of Istrian emigrants. Croatian Writers' Association
Croatian Writers' Association (; abbreviated DHK) is the official association of Croatian writers. It was founded in 1900 in Zagreb with the goal "to unite writers and help them support one another, and promote Croatian literature regardless of political objectives", "to protect the interests and increase the reputation of writers" and "supports its members and their orphans." Marko Grčić (born 17 September 1938) is a Croatian journalist, translator, poet, essayist, and publicist. Life He was born on 17 September 1938 in Sinj, Croatia. Zlatko Kramarić
Zlatko Kramarić (born 5 February 1956) is a Croatian liberal politician from Osijek. Kramarić was born in Osijek and graduated in philology (Macedonian literature) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. Later he obtained a master's degree and a doctorate from the same faculty. He entered Croatian politics in 1990, during the first free democratic elections when he was candidate of non-partisan "Osijek List" () for Osijek local assembly.
