Zoran Stefanović (basketball)
Zoran Stefanović (, sr-cyr, Зоран Стефановић, born 21 November 1969 in Loznica) is a Serbian author, publisher and cultural activist, best known as the founder of several cultural networks, including Project Rastko. His works were published and produced in Europe and US. He made his debut in theater and film in 1987 and he graduated in dramaturgy and screenwriting in 1994 at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (University of Arts in Belgrade). He lives in Belgrade. He is the president of the Association of Playwrights of Serbia (2022). Writings Some of his works belong to science fiction and fantasy - in the theater (" Slavic Orpheus," "Fable of the Cosmic Egg"), graphic novels and comics (" The Third Argument", based on stories by Milorad Pavić, "Under the Seal of the Wolf"), prose (novel Verigaši) and in film/television ("Narrow Paths"). Kosta Hakman
Kosta Hakman ( sr-Cyrl, Коста Хакман; 22 May 1899 – 9 December 1961) was a Yugoslav and Bosnia and Herzegovina painter. Early life Hakman was born in 1899 in Bosanska Krupa, the third child of local judge Mihailo Hakman, who descended from Polish Catholic immigrants, and Darinka Đurić, a teacher of Bosnian Serb descent from Sarajevo. He had three brothers, Mihailo, Stefan and Nikola and two sisters, Jelena and Zora. He was baptized in the Serbian Orthodox faith. He finished elementary school in Tuzla. In 1908, he started attending the Grammar School in Tuzla, thought to be one of the best schools in Bosnia at the time, and also known for its liberal ideas nurtured by both professors and students. ''The Comics We Loved: Selection of 20th Century Comics and Creators from the Region of Former Yugoslavia'' () is a guidebook to 20th Century Yugoslavian comic books. It was co-authored by Zdravko Zupan and Zoran Stefanović and edited by Živojin Tamburić. The book was published in Serbia by Modest Stripovi in 2011. Summary The book provides basic information, panel examples, and critiques or citations from critiques for 400 comics from 200 artists, 150 scriptwriters, and 50 writers whose works were used in comics. Milorad Pavić (writer)
Milorad Pavić ( sr-Cyrl, Милорад Павић, ; 15 October 1929 – 30 November 2009) was a Serbian writer, university professor, translator, literary historian and academic. Born in Belgrade in 1929, he published a number of poems, short stories and novels during his lifetime, the most famous of which was the ''Dictionary of the Khazars'' (1984). Upon its release, it was hailed as "the first novel of the 21st century." Pavić's works have been translated into more than thirty languages. He was vastly popular in Europe and in South America, and was deemed "one of the most intriguing writers from the beginning of the 21st century." He won numerous prizes in Serbia and in the former Yugoslavia, and was mentioned several times as a potential candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. He died in Belgrade in 2009.
