Zhetysu VC
Zhetysu Volleyball Club () is a volleyball club based in Taldykorgan. They organize both a men's and women's team. The Zhetysu women's team is a nine-time Kazakhstan Women's Volleyball League with the most recent league title won in the 2024–25 season. They are also nine-time Kazakhstan Cup winners and four-time Super Cup winners. Zhetysu has played in the AVC Women's Champions League (formerly the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship). They had played from 2008 to 2015 and in 2021. The club won the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League title. Zhetysu also qualified for the 2025 FIVB Women's Volleyball Club World Championship by finishing as one of the two finalists of the Asian tournament. AVC Women's Champions League
The AVC Women's Champions League, previously the AVC Cup Women's Club Tournament (between 1999 and 2002) and Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship (between 2004–2024), is an annual continental club volleyball competition organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continental governing body. The competition was first contested in Thailand in 1999 AVC Cup Women's Club Tournament, 1999. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively. For a long time, the winner of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship qualifies for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship. Starting in 2024 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, 2024, the restructured qualification now allows the two finalists to directly qualify in the world tournament. Kazakhstani Women's Volleyball League
The Kazakhstan Women's Volleyball League is an annual competition for women's volleyball clubs in Kazakhstan . It has been held since the 1992/93 season. Competitions are held in three divisions : the National League and the major leagues "A" and "B". History 8 teams took part in the National League 2020/21: Altai (Ust-Kamenogorsk), Zhetysu (Taldykorgan), Kuanysh (Petropavlovsk), Almaty, Karaganda, Irtysh-Kazkhrom (Pavlodar), "Altai" -2 (Ust-Kamenogorsk), "Aru-Astana" (Nur-Sultan). Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. Taldykorgan
Taldykorgan (, , ; ), formerly spelled Taldy-Kurgan until 1993, is the capital (called an administrative center) of Jetisu Region, Kazakhstan. According to the 2010 Kazakh Census, the population is 143,407. The town was founded in the 19th century as the village of Gavrilovka and developed into the present city on the same site. The town grew slowly in its early years. After the completion of the railway connection many Russian farmers moved to the area of the town. Russians are the second-largest ethnic group after the Kazakhs among the 70 nationalities living in Taldykorgan. A total of 143,000 people live in the city. 2021 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2021 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship was the 21st edition of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA). The tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 1 to 7 October 2021. The winner of the tournament qualified to 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship.
