Zeyyat Hatiboğlu
Zeyyat Hatiboğlu (March 16, 1925 - May 29, 2018) was a Turkish professor of economics and business administration at Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey. He also served on the board of trustees of Doğuş University. Career Hatiboğlu completed elementary school and high school in Trabzon, Turkey, his birthplace. He obtained his BA in economics at Istanbul University in 1946 and his Ph.D. in economics at Istanbul University in 1950. He became an assistant professor at Istanbul Technical University and became an associate professor in 1952 and a full professor in 1962. He completed post-doctoral studies at Harvard Business School in 1955 and at London School of Economics in 1964. The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), established in 1895, is a public research university in London, England, and a member institution of the University of London. The school specialises in the social sciences. Founded by Fabian Society members Sidney Webb, Beatrice Webb, Graham Wallas and George Bernard Shaw, LSE joined the University of London in 1900 and offered its first degree programmes under the auspices of the university in 1901. Trabzon
Trabzon, historically known as Trebizond, is a city on the Black Sea coast of northeastern Turkey and the capital of Trabzon Province. The city was founded in 756 BC as "Trapezous" by colonists from Miletus. It was added into the Achaemenid Empire by Cyrus the Great and was later part of the independent Kingdom of Pontus that challenged Rome until 68 BC. Thenceforth part of the Roman and later Byzantine Empire, the city was the capital of the Empire of Trebizond, one of the successor states of the Byzantine Empire after the Fourth Crusade in 1204.
