Zeytinliköy, Gökçeada
Zeytinliköy, also known by its former Greek name Ágioi Theódoroi ( el, Άγιοι Θεόδωροι), is a village on the island of Imbros in northwestern Turkey. Geography It is located just 3km west of the only town of the island, Çınarlı (or in Greek Panagia Balomeni), and 10km west from the central port of the island. It stands at an altitude of approximately 100m nearby Kastri hill. History and Demographics The village is one of the oldest settlements of the island of Imbros that is still inhabited. There are 3 Greek Orthodox Churches in the village. Bartholomew I Of Constantinople
Bartholomew I ( el, Βαρθολομαῖος Αʹ, , tr, I. Bartholomeos; born 29 February 1940) is the 270th archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch, since 2 November 1991. In accordance with his title, he is regarded as the '' primus inter pares'' (first among equals) in the Eastern Orthodox Church, and as the spiritual leader of the Eastern Orthodox Christians worldwide. Apostolos Christodoulou ( el, Απόστολος Χριστοδούλου) was a Greek priest, theologist and Metropolitan bishop of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Biography Christodoulou was born in 1856 in Agios Theodoros of Imbros, then Ottoman Empire (now Turkey). He completed his studies in his homeland and later studied in the Theological School of Halki for the period of 1874-1881. Then, for 1 year, he taught theology in the ''Zappeio Girls' school'' of Constantinople. In 1882 he studied in the Kiev Theological Academy and after some years of his successful graduation, he taught theology in the Theological School of Halki, and became the schoolmaster of it in 1899.
