Zduńska Wola Railway Station
Zduńska Wola is the main Train station, railway station for the town of Zduńska Wola, Łódź Voivodeship. Initially built in early 1900s to serve Warsaw–Kalisz Railway, Warsaw-Kalisz Railway, it is currently an important interchange, serving trains running on Polish Coal Trunk-Line, Coal Trunk Railway from Zduńska Wola Karsznice, Karsznice station toward Sieradz and Kalisz. For passenger service, it serves as stopping point for PKP Intercity trains running between Wrocław Główny railway station, Wrocław and Warszawa Wschodnia railway station, Warsaw, Przewozy Regionalne, PolRegio routes from Łódź to Poznań Główny railway station, Poznań and Wrocław, and Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna, ŁKA services to Sieradz railway station, Sieradz. In 2015 the station served as terminus for a commuter trains to Karsznice station. Zduńska Wola
Zduńska Wola is a city in central Poland with 40,730 inhabitants (2021). It is the seat of Zduńska Wola County in the Łódź Voivodeship. The city was once one of the largest cloth, linen and cotton weaving centres in Poland and is the birthplace of Saint Maximilian Kolbe as well as Maksymilian Faktorowicz, the founder of Max Factor cosmetics company. History Early history The city was first mentioned and documented in 1394. Zduńska Wola was then part of an important trade route which crossed through Poland and connected Eastern Europe, Eastern and Western Europe. Administratively, it was located in the Sieradz Voivodeship (1339–1793), Sieradz Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province, Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland.
