Zayeltsovsky District () is an administrative district (raion) of Central Okrug, one of the 10 raions of Novosibirsk, Russia. The area of the district is 83 km2 (32 sq mi). Novosibirsk
Novosibirsk is the largest city and administrative centre of Novosibirsk Oblast and the Siberian Federal District in Russia. Krasny Prospekt () or Krasny Avenue (lit. ''Red Avenue'') is the central street and major thoroughfare in the city of Novosibirsk, Russia. Until 1920, it was known as the Nikolaevsky Prospekt () or Nicholas' Avenue. Its length is about 7 km. The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary () is the cathedral of the of the Russian Orthodox Old-Rite Church. It was built between 1990 and 1999. The cathedral is located in Zayeltsovsky District, Novosibirsk. History The design was drawn up in 1989 by architects A.P. and E.A. Dolnakov. On September 21, 1990, Metropolitan of Moscow and All Russia consecrated a place for the construction of the church near Bestuzhev Street in Zayeltsovsky District. A professional team of builders was hired only for the construction of foundations. The entire construction was carried out by an experienced builder O. F. Glebkin. The walls of the cathedral were built by parishioners Roman Bekrenyov and Boris Kokorin. The auxiliary workers who participated in the construction were also parishioners: A. Bozhenkov, F. A. The Novosibirsk Zoo named after Rostislav Alexandrovich Shilo () is a scientific institution as well as a tourist attraction. The zoo has around 11,000 animals representing 738 species and is an active participant in thirty-two different captive breeding programmes for endangered species. On average, over 1,500,000 people visit the zoo each year. History The history of Novosibirsk Zoo began with a little zoological garden headed by Maksim Zverev, which was a part of West Siberian Krai Children's Technical and Agricultural Station founded in 1933. Zayeltsovsky Park
Zayeltsovsky Park is a park in Zayeltsovsky City District, Novosibirsk, Zayeltsovsky District of Novosibirsk, Russia. It was created in 1932. The park is located in Zayeltsovsky Pine Forest. Small West Siberian Railway
The Small West Siberian Railway or Novosibirsk Children's Railway (Russian: Малая Западно-Сибирская железная дорога, ''Malaya Zapadno-Sibirskaya zheleznaya doroga'') is a narrow gauge miniature railway in the Russian city Novosibirsk. The first section of the railway line was opened on 4 June 2005 as one of the many children's railways in Russia. It is still in use every day in summer except Mondays. Yanka Dyagileva
Yana Stanislavovna "Yanka" Dyagileva (; 4 September 1966 – 1991) was a Russian poet and singer-songwriter and one of the most popular figures of her time in Russia's underground punk scene. She both played solo and performed with others, including Yegor Letov and bands Grazhdanskaya Oborona and Velikiye Oktyabri ("Great Octobers"). Dyagileva was greatly influenced by Letov and Alexander Bashlachev, who were her friends. Her songs explored themes of desperation and depression, punk-style nihilism, and folk-like lamentations. Her death in 1991 has been considered as a symbolic end to the Siberian punk scene.
