Zagorka Živković
Zagorka is a Bulgarian beer brand from the city of Stara Zagora. It is brewed at the Zagorka Brewery. The company was founded in 1902, in the Czech beer, Czech tradition, by a doctor who returned from Prague. The current brewery was opened in 1958 and since 1994 is owned by Heineken. The company produces three Bulgarian brands (Zagorka, Ariana (beer), Ariana and Stolichno) and four licensed brands (Heineken, Birra Moretti, Amstel Brewery, Amstel and Desperados beer, Desperados). Desperados Beer
Fischer was a brewery in Schiltigheim, France. Heineken took over ownership in 1996 and closed the brewery in 2009. History The Fischer brewery was founded in 1821 in Strasbourg, in the Alsace region in France, and moved to Schiltigheim in 1854, because of the water quality there. In 1922, they took over the neighbouring Adelshoffen brewery and became "Groupe Pêcheur" (the French translation of the German "Fischer"). "Groupe Pêcheur" was in turn taken over by Heineken in 1996. In 2008 Heineken announced that it would close the brewery by the end of 2009 and transfer production to the l'Espérance (en: hope) brewery, also in Schiltigheim. Fruit beer is beer made with fruit added as an adjunct or flavouring. It can be made for example with strawberries, plums, raspberries, or cherries. It's an additive- or flavoring-containing form. Initially manufactured in Belgium, fruit beer is now available worldwide. Amstel Brewery ( ) is a Dutch brewery founded in 1870 on the Mauritskade in Amsterdam. It was taken over by Heineken International in 1968, and the brewing plant closed down in 1982, with production moving to the main Heineken plant at Zoeterwoude. History The brewery was founded by Charles Antoine de Pesters (1842–1915), Johannes Hendrikus van Marwijk Kooy (1847–1916) and Willem Eduard Uhlenbroek (1839–1880).
