Zabolottsi, Lviv Oblast
Zabolottsi () is a village (''selo'') in Zolochiv Raion, Lviv Oblast, in western Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Zabolottsi rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. From 1918 to 1939 the village was in Tarnopol Voivodeship in Poland. It was established in 1494. Wooden Churches In Ukraine
Wooden church architecture in Ukraine dates from the beginning of Christianity in the area and comprises a set of unique styles and forms specific to many sub-regions of the country. A raion (also spelt rayon) is a type of administrative unit of several post-Soviet states. The term is used for both a type of subnational entity and a division of a city. The word is from the French (meaning 'honeycomb, department'), and is commonly translated as ' district' in English. A raion is a standardized administrative entity across most of the former Soviet Union and is usually a subdivision two steps below the national level, such as a subdivision of an oblast. However, in smaller USSR republics, it could be the primary level of administrative division. Zolochiv Raion () is a raion (district) in Lviv Oblast in western Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Zolochiv, Lviv Oblast, Zolochiv. Population: It was established in 1939. In Ukraine, a hromada () is the main type of municipality and the third level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, local self-government in Ukraine. The current hromadas were established by the Cabinet of ministers of Ukraine, Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. A municipality is designated ''urban hromada'' if its administration is located in a city; ''settlement hromada'' if it is located in a settlement (''selyshche''), and ''rural hromada'' if it is located in a village (Village#Ukraine, ''selo'') or a ''selyshche''.
