Yiftach Ziv
Yiftach Ziv ( he, יפתח זיו; born July 9, 1995) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League and the EuroLeague. Standing at , he plays at the point guard position. Early life Ziv was born in Haifa, Israel, and began playing basketball for the youth team of Maccabi Haifa. In his last season with Haifa's youth team, Ziv averaged 20 points, 8 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals per game. Ziv led Haifa to the Youth League Semifinals and was named the Youth League MVP. Professional career Early career (2013–2015) On September 10, 2013, Ziv started his professional career with Ironi Kiryat Ata, signing a two-year contract. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The Georgia men's national basketball team ( ka, საქართველოს ეროვნული საკალათბურთო ნაკრები) represents the country of Georgia in international basketball matches, and is controlled by the Georgian Basketball Federation. Niv Berkowitz ( he, ניב ברקוביץ; born April 25, 1986) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Hapoel Haifa of the Israeli National League. He is the son of former basketball player Miki Berkowitz. Early years Berkowitz was born in Ramat HaSharon, Israel, he played for Hapoel Ramat HaSharon and Maccabi Tel Aviv youth teams. Meir Tapiro ( he, מאיר טפירו), born March 28, 1975) is a former Israeli professional basketball player, and current CEO of Ironi Nes Ziona. Tapiro played at the point guard position.
