The is the upper house of the National Diet of Japan. The House of Representatives (Japan), House of Representatives is the lower house. The House of Councillors is the successor to the pre-war House of Peers (Japan), House of Peers. If the two houses disagree on matters of the budget, treaties, or the nomination of the prime minister, the House of Representatives can insist on its decision. In other decisions, the House of Representatives can override a vote of the House of Councillors only by a two-thirds majority of members present. Yokogoshi, Niigata
was a town located in Nakakanbara District, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 11,339 and a density of 480.06 inhabitants per km2. The total area was 23.62 km2. On March 21, 2005, Yoskogoshi, along with the cities of Niitsu, Shirone and Toyosaka, the towns of Kameda and Kosudo (all from Nakakanbara District), the town of Nishikawa, and the villages of Ajikata, Iwamuro, Katahigashi, Nakanokuchi and Tsukigata (all from Nishikanbara District), was merged into the expanded city of Niigata. Yukiko Kada
is a Japanese politician and member of the National Diet of Japan, serving as member of the House of Councillors from Shiga Prefecture since 2019. She was the governor of Shiga for two terms from 2006 to 2014. Early life Kada is from Honjō, Saitama and her father was a member of the city council. She went to Kyoto University and studied environmental sociology. She moved to Ōtsu, Shiga in 1979. She graduated from the Graduate School of Agriculture of Kyoto University in 1981. She also studied in the United States at the University of Wisconsin as a graduate student in 1973. She became a professor at Kyoto Seika University in 2000. Political career Kada was elected as governor of Shiga in 2006, defeating incumbent governor Yoshitsugu Kunimatsu.
