Yıldız (Istanbul Metro)
Yıldız is an underground station on the M7 line of the Istanbul Metro in Beşiktaş. The station is located on Barbaros Boulevard in the Yıldız neighborhood of Beşiktaş. With a depth of 71 meters, it is the second deepest station in the Istanbul Metro system, after the M11's Gayrettepe station. The station has 3 entrances; Ertuğrul Sitesi, Yıldız University and Dikilitaş. The M7 line operates as fully automatic unattended train operation (UTO). The station consists of an island platform with two tracks. Since the M7 is an ATO line, protective gates on each side of the platform open only when a train is in the station. The station opened on 2 January, 2023 as the first phase of the Mecidiyeköy-Kabataş extension. Istanbul Metro
The Istanbul Metro () is a rapid transit railway network that serves the city of Istanbul, Turkey. Apart from the M11 line, which is operated by TCDD Taşımacılık, the system is operated by Metro Istanbul, a public enterprise controlled by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Yıldız Park
Yıldız Park () is a historical, urban park in Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is one of the largest public parks in Istanbul. The park is located in Yıldız, Beşiktaş, Yıldız quarter between the palaces of Yıldız Palace, Yıldız and Çırağan Palace, Çırağan. History Yıldız Park was once part of the imperial garden of Yıldız Palace. Extending down the slopes from the palace, this walled park was reserved only for palace dwellers during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II. Automatic Train Operation
Automatic train operation (ATO) is a method of operating trains automatically where the driver is not required or is required for supervision at most. Alternatively, ATO can be defined as a subsystem within the automatic train control, which performs any or all of functions like programmed stopping, speed adjusting, door operation, and similar otherwise assigned to the train operator. Gayrettepe (Istanbul Metro)
Gayrettepe is an underground rapid transit station on the M2 and M11 lines of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in east-central Şişli under Büyükdere Avenue just south of Levent. IETT
The Istanbul Electricity, Tram and Tunnel Establishments () or İETT is the transportation authority in Istanbul connected to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality specializing in public transportation. History After nationalizing various companies and combining them in 1939 with law 3645, the “Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel General Directorate” reached the status it has today.
