Yénier Márquez
Yénier Márquez Molina (born 3 January 1979) is a Cuban former footballer who played as a defender. He is the Cuba national team's most capped player of all-time. Club career Born in Corralillo, Márquez he his senior debut with FC Villa Clara in 1999. In 2013, Marquez was the Cuban league's top goalscorer with 16 and in 2014 he was voted Cuban footballer of the year. He played for Antiguan side Green Bay Hoppers. International career Nicknamed ''El Croqui'', he made his international debut for Cuba in a May 2000 FIFA World Cup qualification against Barbados, and has earned a total of 126 caps, scoring 16 goals. Corralillo, Cuba
Corralillo is a municipality and town in the Villa Clara Province of Cuba. It was founded in 1831 and established as a municipality in 1879. Geography Corralillo is located on the northern coast of Cuba, in the north-western corner of the Villa Clara province, bordering the Matanzas Province to the west and the Bay of Cadiz to the north. The cays of Falcones, Blanquizal and Verde of the Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago as well as a multitude of reefs are located at sea north of Corralillo. Soldier Field is a multi-purpose stadium on the Near South Side, Chicago, Near South Side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. 2010 Caribbean Cup
The 2010 Caribbean Cup (also known as Digicel Caribbean Cup 2010 for sponsorship reasons) was the 2010 edition of the Caribbean Championship, an international football championship for national teams affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) of the CONCACAF region. The final stage was hosted by Martinique. Martinique were selected as hosts over fellow bidders Guadeloupe and Barbados. The competition was originally scheduled to begin on 18 August with the final match taking place on 28 November. However, at the beginning of August 2010, the CFU released a different schedule that showed the competition being postponed until 2 October. Also, the Bahamas pulled out of the competition, leaving 23 teams. The groups were changed, allowing Cuba and Antigua and Barbuda to get a bye to the second qualifying round at the expense of Guyana and the Netherlands Antilles. Trelawny (Jamaican Patois: ''Trilaani'' or ''Chrilaani'') is a parish in the county of Cornwall in northwest Jamaica. Its capital is Falmouth. It is bordered by the parishes of Saint Ann in the east, Saint James in the west, and Saint Elizabeth and Manchester in the south. Trelawny is known for producing several Olympic sprinters. Trelawny Stadium
Trelawny Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Trelawny, Jamaica that was completed in 2007. It has a capacity of 25,000 people. It was built under an agreement between Jamaica and the People's Republic of China, that saw the PRC Government put up at least US$30-million needed for the project. It is mostly used for cricket. The stadium hosted warm-up matches during the 2007 Cricket World Cup, as well as the opening ceremony of the championship, but has not hosted an official international cricket match. The CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Association Football) qualification stage for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa consisted of 35 national teams competing for the three berths given automatically to CONCACAF by FIFA. The United States, Mexico and Honduras qualified. The fourth-place finisher, Costa Rica, played a two-game playoff with the CONMEBOL fifth-place finisher, Uruguay, for a possible fourth berth. The 2007 Caribbean Cup (known as the Digicel Caribbean Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the fourteenth edition of the biennial Caribbean Cup, the finals of which were contested in Trinidad and Tobago between 12 January and 23 January 2007. The four semifinalists (Cuba, Guadeloupe, Haiti, and hosts Trinidad and Tobago) qualified for the 2007 edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. In all, 24 of the eligible countries participated (5 did not enter and 1 withdrew). Haiti eventually won the tournament despite having to qualify for the finals through a play-off of third-place teams from the second round and finishing second in its final-round group.
