Loona
Loona (stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; ; , ) is a South Korean girl group created by Blockberry Creative. The group is composed of eleven members: Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Vivi, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves (singer), Yves, Go Won, and HyeJu. Originally a twelve-member group, Chuu was removed from the line-up on November 25, 2022, due to a contract dispute. The remaining members of the group departed Blockberry Creative later that year, putting the group on an indefinite hiatus. The group debuted as a full ensemble on August 19, 2018, with the extended play (EP) ''+ + (EP), [+ +],'' supported by the lead single "Favorite (Loona song), Favorite" and the title track "Hi High". Melon () is a South Korean online music store and music streaming service introduced in November 2004, and developed by SK Telecom. LOEN Entertainment (became Kakao M and then Kakao Entertainment) became the company-in-charge of the service in 2009. In 2017, Kakao merged Kakao Music into Melon to have one, unified music streaming service. Melon is South Korea's largest music subscription service, with over 28 million users. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. Founded in 2010, it is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. ''Chuu'' (also known as ''Yves & Chuu'') is the tenth single album from South Korean girl group Loona's pre-debut project. It was released on December 28, 2017, by Blockberry Creative. It officially introduces member Chuu and contains two tracks, Chuu's solo "Heart Attack" and "Girl's Talk", a duet with previous member Yves. Media reception Chuu's music video for her song "Heart Attack" released in 2017 gained praise by fans of K-pop for its depiction of a seemingly lesbian relationship between Chuu herself and fellow Loona member Yves which is a rare case in the K-pop industry, although there has been no affirmation of their sexuality or allyship by the company or the members themselves. However, other people have stated that ''Heart Attack'' rather than being a positive representation of LGBT love, used the depiction of homoerotic love as a way to garner more fan interest.
