Yuriko Kajiya (加治屋百合子 ''Kajiya Yuriko'', born 1984) is a Japanese ballet dancer who currently performs as a principal (ballet), principal dancer with Houston Ballet. Prior to joining Houston Ballet, she danced as a soloist with American Ballet Theatre for seven years. Early life Yuriko was born in Nagoya, Japan, and started training with Matsumoto Michiko Ballet when she was eight years old. She moved to China at the age of 10, where she studied with and graduated from the school of the Shanghai Ballet. She won the Best Performance Award in the senior category at the Tao Li Bei National Ballet Competition in 1997, at age 13. (born , 4 June 1923 – 15 November 2024) was a member of the Imperial House of Japan as the wife of Takahito, Prince Mikasa, the fourth son of Emperor Taishō and Empress Teimei. The Princess was the last surviving paternal great-aunt by marriage of Emperor Naruhito and, before her death, was the oldest member of the imperial family, and the final living member who was born in the Taishō era. Mochizuki Yuriko (; 1900–2001) was a Japanese anarchist-feminist writer and activist. A leading figure in the early Japanese feminist movement, she cut her hair short and advocated for women's suffrage, but eventually split from others in the feminist movement over her political views. She joined up with other anarchist-feminists, including Takamure Itsue, in criticising both Marxist feminism and the antifeminism of male anarchists. Following the Japanese invasion of Manchuria, she and other revolutionary feminists moved to Manchukuo, fleeing political repression in Japan. Yuriko Miyamoto
was a Japanese novelist, short-story writer, social activist, and literary critic active during the Taishō and early Shōwa eras of Japan. She is best known for her autobiographical fiction and involvement in proletarian and women's liberation movements. Miyamoto began writing while she was still in school.
