Yuri Gagarin Street ( / ''Ulica Jurija Gagarina'') is a major street in New Belgrade, named after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space. Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin; Gagarin's first name is sometimes transliterated as ''Yuriy'', ''Youri'', or ''Yury''. Bežanija ( sr-Cyrl, Бежанија, ) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Novi Beograd, in the Syrmia region.
