Yovel Zoosman
Yovel Zoosman ( he, יוֹבֵל זוסמן; born May 12, 1998) is an Israeli professional basketball player for Alba Berlin of the German Basketball Bundesliga and the EuroLeague. Standing at , he plays at the shooting guard and the small forward positions. Zoosman was named the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship MVP in 2018. He was named the 2020 Israeli Basketball Premier League Defensive Player of the Year. Biography Yovel Zoosman was born in Kfar Saba, Israel, to a Jewish family. He was raised in Netanya and played for Elitzur Netanya youth team. He joined Wingate Institute and Maccabi Tel Aviv in his late teens. Sports career In 2015, Zoosman started his professional career with Maccabi Tel Aviv. On October 18, 2015, Zoosman made his professional debut in an Israeli ISBL game, in an 85–70 win over Bnei Herzliya, recording two points off the bench. The Israeli Basketball League Cup is a pre-season professional basketball tournament that is contested between clubs. It has been held in Israel since 2006. It is held during the week before the start of the Israeli Premier League season. Bnei Herzliya Basket (, lit. ''Sons of Herzliya''), is a professional basketball club that is based in Herzliya, in the Sharon district in Israel. The club plays in the Israeli Basketball Premier League, the top division of Israeli basketball. It has won the Israeli State Cup twice, most recently in 2022. Netanya
Netanya (also known as Natanya, he, נְתַנְיָה) is a city in the Northern Central District of Israel, and is the capital of the surrounding Sharon plain. FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship
The FIBA U20 European Championship, previously known as the European Championship for Men '22 and Under', is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1992 edition. Through the 2004 edition, it was held biennially, but since 2005 edition, it is held every year. The tournament was originally an Under-22 age tournament, but it is now an Under-20 age tournament. The current champions are Spain. Starting with the 2005 B edition, a Division B tournament, which is the secondary level of the European Under-20 Basketball Championship, is also organized.
