Young Lions FC
Young Lions Football Club, commonly known as Young Lions, is a developmental football club based in Kallang, Singapore, which competes in the Singapore Premier League. The team is under the control of the Football Association of Singapore. Young Lions are one of the few football clubs in the world made up of young Singaporean footballers serving their compulsory two-year national service, which places an age restriction on team members while playing in a top-flight professional league. Players are on loan from several local Singapore Premier League clubs, and would spend two years with the side before returning. Young Lions play their home matches at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Their best league finish was third, which they achieved in 2004 and 2006. Jalan Besar Stadium
Jalan Besar Stadium, officially the Jalan Besar ActiveSG Stadium, is a football stadium located in Kallang, Singapore. The stadium is part of the Jalan Besar Sports and Recreation Centre, a community sports facility that includes the stadium as well as a swimming complex. It is the home ground of the Singapore Premier League club Young Lions. The stadium is also used as an alternative home ground to the National Stadium by the Singapore national football team. , is a Japanese professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Singapore Premier League club Geylang International. Club career Youth Born in Tokyo, Kaisei began his youth career with local side Christroi SC, before moving to Yokogawa Musashino's youth set-up during his teenage years. Prime League
The Prime League was the reserve and youth team football league of Singapore's S.League. Teams involved in the league are primarily made up of youth players from the S.League clubs. The Prime League was founded in 1997. S.League clubs are required to participate, and clubs who do not play at S.League level are also eligible to enter. In 2018, the Prime League was abolished, with the National Football League (NFL) installed as the second-tier competition. Participation rules All S.League teams had to register a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 players for the Prime League. Clubs not participating in the S. LionsXII ("Lions Twelve"), also known as Singapore LionsXII, was a Singaporean youth football club founded in 2011 that played in the Malaysia Super League, the top tier of Malaysian football, from their inaugural season until their dissolution following the 2015 season. Their home ground was the 10,000-capacity Jalan Besar Stadium. The Malaysia Cup (), formerly known as Malaya Cup, is an annual football tournament in Malaysia, held at the end of the calendar year. The cup was first held in 1921. The Malaysia Super League (), known simply as the Super League (), is the men's top professional football division of the Malaysian football league system. 2024–25 Singapore Cup
The 2024–25 Singapore Cup will be the 25th edition of the Singapore Cup, Singapore's annual premier club Association football, football knock-out tournament organised by the Football Association of Singapore. Lion City Sailors are the defending champions, having won the tournament in 2023 after defeating previous champions Hougang United 3–1 in the final.
