Yol Aularong ( ; also romanized as Yos Olarang) was a Cambodian garage rock musician, and a leading figure in the country's rock scene of the 1960s and 70s. He incorporated elements of soul, funk, and rock into his music, and was known for his rebellious persona, humor, and social commentary. He is presumed to have been killed during the Cambodian genocide that took place under the Khmer Rouge between 1975 and 1979. ''Yol'' (; translated as ''The Way'', ''The Road'' or ''The Path'') is a 1982 Turkish film directed by Yılmaz Güney and Şerif Gören. The screenplay was written by Güney—who at the time was in prison—with detailed directing instructions, which were carried out by his assistant Gören. Later, after Güney escaped from İmralı prison, Imrali prison, took the negatives of the film to Switzerland and later edited it in Paris. The film is a portrait of Turkey in the aftermath of the 1980 Turkish coup d'état: its people and its authorities are shown via the stories of five prisoners given a week's home leave. The Year of Luigi was the 30th-anniversary celebration of the fictional character Luigi. He was created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto for the 1983 arcade game '' Mario Bros.'' and has appeared frequently as a minor or supporting character in the ''Mario'' franchise since. Yol is a neighbourhood of Dharmshala city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is famous for its military history. History The town gets its name from YOL (Young Officers Living), a small town established by British Indian Army around 1849. The Yol Cantt. (cantonment) was built in 1942. Formerly it was known as "majhaitha" village. Yol is the headquarters of the 9 Corps of Indian Army. Yol was the location of a Prisoner-of-war camp which hosted German soldiers in the First World War and Italian soldiers in the Second World War. Yola Dialect
Yola, more commonly and historically the Forth and Bargy dialect, is an extinct dialect of the Middle English language once spoken in the baronies of Forth and Bargy in County Wexford, Ireland. As such, it was probably similar to the Fingallian dialect of the Fingal area. Both became functionally extinct in the 19th century when they were replaced by modern Hiberno-English. The word means in the dialect. In modern times, there have been efforts to revive the dialect.
