Yeşim Bostan
Yeşim Bostan (born 24 May 1995) is a Turkish Compound bow, compound archery, archer. She is native of Muğla, Turkey, where she studied physical education at Sıtkı Koçman University. She is a member of İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. Career Representing Turkey, she debuted internationally in 2014, and on the bronze medal in the team event at the 2014 European Archery Championships, 2014 European Championships in Echmiadzin, Armenia. She competed in three events at the 2015 World Archery Championships, 2015 World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the 2018 World Indoor Archery Championships, 2018 World Indoor Championships in Yankton, South Dakota, USA, she took the silver medal in the Individual event. At the second leg of the 2018 Archery World Cup, 2018 World Cup in Antalya, she became gold medalist in Individual event. Archery At The 2019 European Games
At the 2019 European Games in Minsk, eight events of archery were contested, all in the target archery format. Five events were held with Recurve bow, recurve bows and three with Compound bow, compound bows. The events in recurve are also used as Continental Qualification Tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Qualification The World Archery Europe, WAE Executive Board approved the qualification system in November 2017. A total of 128 athletes qualified for the games, 96 in recurve and 32 in compound. Summer Universiade
The FISU World University Games, formerly the Universiade, is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The former name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. Archery At The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
Archery at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Konya, Turkey from 14 to 18 August 2022. Traditional Turkish Archery Competitions was heldd at Saraçoglu Sports Venue between 15 and 16 August 2022. For individual competitions, qualification, elimination and final elimination round shots was done, and for team competitions, elimination and final elimination rounds of the teams was done. Qualification rounds in Archery was made accordingly: Men’s and Women’s Recurve bow was 70m. 720 rounds, and Men’s and Women’s Compound bow was 50m. 720 Rounds. Para Archery competitions was held in Saraçoğlu Sport Complex between 09-13 August 2022. Competitions were held in Recurve Bow, Compound Bow and W1 Bows was held in Senior category. Islamic Solidarity Games
The Islamic Solidarity Games () is a multinational, multi-sport event. Managed jointly by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), the Games involve elite athletes of the OIC competing in a variety of sports. The most recent edition was held in Konya, Turkey, in 2022. The next edition will take place in 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Background The Solidarity Games were established to strengthen Islamic camaraderie and reinforce the values of Islam, primarily to the youth. The 2016 Archery World Cup is the 11th edition of the international archery circuit organised annually by the World Archery Federation. The preliminary stage consisted of three legs instead of the usual four, to make room for the Archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics, Olympic archery tournament. The third leg was also the final Archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Qualification, Olympic qualification event. Competition rules and scoring The Compound bow, compound legs consisted of a 50 m qualification round of 72 arrows, followed by the compound round at 50 m on a 6-zone target face, using cumulative scoring for all individual, team and mixed competitions.
